Update to Writing Podcasts List
In July of '09 I wrote a post called Writing Podcasts Worth Listening To. I just wanted to let you all know I just added another podcast to the list. One of my favorite things is listening to writers being interviewed, they give a lot of great info for new writers. This podcast The Creative Penn is chalked full of great interviews with authors. Check it out, and note I have updated my "Writing Podcasts" list in the right hand column of this site as well. If any of you know of great podcasts for writers, please leave a comment and let me know, I'll check it out and if I think it's worth people's time to listen to I'll add it to my list.

Flash Fiction - Micro Fiction - Twitter Fiction - TwitFic
As you can see on the Sidebar to the right, I'm on Twitter, if you're on there too, follow me and send me a DM telling me how you found me. If not, then that may have sounded like jibber jabber. Check out the site to see what I meant. I've always thought it would be fun to write flash fiction, and I thought why not limit it to 140 characters, as twitter does, and call it Twit Fic? I was pretty sure this name was already made up and in use by others so I did a quick google search and found that there is even a website called twitfic. As a nod to my favorite band Thrice, who came out with The Alchemy Index, an album of 4 e.p.s themes after Earth, Wind, Water, & Fire, (no this isn't a nod to Captain Planet) I'm starting out my Twit Fic with four flash/micro fiction pieces themed after these same elements. If you haven't listened to the Alchemy Index, you really must check it out, Earth & Wind are my favorite of the four e.p.s by them. I'm OK with Turning 27
I never really understood why adults didn't care too much for their birthdays. Birthdays were always a fun thing, a celebration. Last year I understood. All of my birthdays up to 26 I looked forward too and was happy about. At 25 your car insurance goes down a bit, that was enough for me to celebrate. 26 was the first birthday where I thought, I get it now, there's nothing here but a reminder that I'm one year older. All of that being said, it's true I don't really want to be another year closer to 30, but then again I'm so glad to be out of school with an amazing wife and son, a good job, and a house that's all ours. Life is great. So this Friday on January 15th this year, I will celebrate my very blessed life. It is my hope that with each year I grow closer to God, become more thankful for everything, have more love for people, more humility, more productivity with my writing, and less selfishness. So here's to a great 27th year. May I use it to glorify God, share his love with others, become a better man, and finish editing my first novel so I can finally share it with people!

A Tragedy in the Podishpere Family
As you all may know, I'm a huge fan of the website: Podiobooks.com I plan on releasing my novels as free podcast audiobooks (podiobooks) on this site once they're edited enough, think 2011. Sadly, the wife of Tee Morris just passed away. He is the co-founder of the site, as well as one of it's first and best fiction authors. She leaves him and their very young daughter (a.k.a. Sonic Boom) here, which makes Tee a single parent now. My heart goes out to him, I can't imagine what he's going through right now. I thought it was the least I could do to post about him, and draw you to his work. Give it a listen and send him some supporting emails if you like what you hear, he's going through a rough time right now.
Tee's Podiobooks (Free Audiobooks to Download & Listen To):
Or you can find all of his work on his site here: http://teemorris.com/published-works/
And last but not least, here is a widget for sending him some financial support to help with the costs of the funeral. Every little bit helps.
