Wow. A lot of people really love this book. I am not one of them. I'm sure it's an important book for its variation in style, or maybe its deviations in narrative voice from those of other writings of the time, but I must just not get it. To me it was a bunch of random scenes and none of them interested me. Some of the stories were really weird too. I just don't see the purpose of this book. It's like a literary version of Alice in Wonderland. The writer just wrote down whatever strange fancy came into his mind at the time and when he had enough he called it a book. At least that's what it seemed like to me. Beyond that some of the stories I found a bit disturbing. Not a fan.
